ICLP invests in insight
ICLP, the global leader in loyalty marketing, has appointed Phil Szymala as Business Insight Director for the UK. Szymala, former Senior Client Director at retail data specialist dunnhumby, comes to ICLP with a wealth of experience in business performance improvement based customer insight within the FMCG and Retail sectors.
In his new role, Szymala will be responsible for strategic planning, working with key clients and internal stakeholders to create mutually profitable business growth from loyalty. He will work across ICLP's core verticals including Retail, Travel, IT, Automotive, Financial Services and Luxury, leveraging the capabilities of ICLP's multi-specialist divisions.

Based in ICLP's new London City office, Szymala will work with his counterparts in ICLP's 14 other global offices, sharing best practices and learnings in loyalty around the world.

At dunnhumby, Szymala was responsible for driving the growth of several partner clients across insight and media. Most recently, he led teams to deliver value adding consultancy, insight and targeted communications programmes within the FMCG arena. Previously, he worked for Sainsbury's, starting in procurement, moving across into marketing within the Nectar team and lastly performing a broad, cross functional role, managing the implementation of the 2004 Christmas strategy. Phil's retail experience also includes time spent at Adidas and McDonald's regional marketing department.
In the UK, ICLP currently enjoys strong relationships with major loyalty players including the RadissonSAS and InterContinental Hotels, and Szymala will be a key part of the team in supporting these, and other clients, in driving growth, customer loyalty and enhancing their brand proposition.
